Coming Soon: Start Up in The Arts Course at Lancaster University.

An essential four-day programme for LICA graduates interested in starting up their own creative practices.

Do you want to:

• set up a theatre company
• have your own recording studios
• work freelance as an artist, musician or performer
• put into practice ideas for a community arts or art education initiative
• do something creative and make a living from what you love?

Then this course will enable you to:

• Develop ideas for your own company, practice or idea and an understanding of what it takes to be successful in the sector
• Gain the skills you'll need to take the first steps
• Learn from practitioners making a living from their creative skills
• Build confidence in yourself and your ideas
• Access support and advice from relevant experts

You don't have to know exactly what you want to do. You just need to have talent as a practitioner, a commitment to your art and a desire to learn how to make it happen.
