This course advocates no one style of leadership: the aim is to discover your own.
The peer group starts with three days of leadership training which seek to challenge assumptions about leadership (dates below). Through a series of exercises, tasks, 'live' scenarios, peer exchange and reflection the course explores leadership as a dynamic and how it manifests in our lives. Whether we are artists involved in the act of creation, managers, part of a team, a project coordinator or simply looking for a greater sense of personal self-leadership.

The learning will come from the shared collective experiences and wisdom of the group.
The second part of the peer group is the coaching and mentoring support participants give to others and receive in return. This will take place in six coaching sets (dates below). In this respect, you exercise your leadership skills and witness the skills of your course colleagues. Each participant has the freedom to explore as much as they feel comfortable doing. The facilitator, Deb Barnard (below) will ensure the process is supported, safe, challenging, enlightening and operates within agreed group confidentiality.

Leadership is for you.
Many people believe leadership training is only useful to those leading hundreds of people in large corporate firms, this isn’t true!

Facilitator - Deb Barnard MAC
Deb has been working in the arts sector for over twenty years combining artistic practice with arts/business management at senior executive level.  She currently works as a freelance creative consultant, facilitator and coach; specialising in working cultures, organisational and personal development and leadership. 



Dates
The three-day leadership training will be held on 18/01/08, and 07/02/08 & 08/02/08.

18th Jan - 1pm until 5:30pm
7th Feb - 10am until 5pm
8th Feb - 1pm until 5:30pm
 
The coaching sets will be held 29/02/08, 21/03/08 and 11/04/08.   All 3pm until 5:30pm.  
A further three coaching set dates will be organised after Christmas.
