Training for Youth Theatre Volunteers

activ8 at the Octagon Theatre, Bolton and the national education charity the UFA have teamed up to offer some valuable training to volunteers and support workers involved in youth theatre, education and community drama projects with young people.

The training will take the format of a UFA ‘extended learning’ fellowship. Throughout the 3 days, the course will explore.

- How are young people affected by their development of resilience, emotional intelligence, fixed mindsets and the environment?

- How can a deepened knowledge of the learning process help us plan quality theatre workshops and drama sessions for young people?

Who is it for?

- ...at the beginning of their journey into a career that
involves working creatively with young people
- ... keen to grow in confidence in their ability to plan and
lead drama workshops
... interested in some of the theory behind why drama and theatre activity has such an impact on young peoples learning (when it's delivered well)

When and Where will it take place?
The Octagon Theatre, Bolton, BL1 1SB. 19th, 26th March
(all day) and 12th April (evening)
